Flying in to visit us?

Free Customer Airplane/Helicopter Parking is available on the museum ramp between the museum's main building (Island Airlines) and second hangar (Green). Guests are welcome to park behind our buildings during business hours. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING! If you are planning to overnight, please park at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport Ramp. Warbirds and museum special visiting aircraft/helicopters are permitted if arranged in advance.If an aircraft is broke down, please alert the museum or airport so we are aware it may be on the ramp overnight. If you are unable to get ahold of someone, please leave a note in a visible area of your aircraft so ramp personnel can view it; otherwise, you risk your airplane towed if left overnight and no one is alerted. Helicopters may park on the museum ramp or in the grass area by the diner across from the ditch.

To enter the museum/gift shop or diner from the museum ramp, take the sidewalk to the right of the Island Airlines main building hangar and follow sidewalk to the entrance by patio. Museum main desk, lobby, & gift shop is located to the left, restrooms to the right of the museum lobby desk and diner is immediately to the right when you enter.

FREE PARKING for vehicles are available in our main lot off of East State Road. Additional parking is available around the building toward the museum's hangar 2 in gravel area. Pet & Service Animals:

We welcome all service animals and leashed pets in the museum. Service animals are only permitted inside the diner but we do welcome all leashed pets on our patio!
We are also handicap accessible! We have no steps and are located all on one level including our 1950's diner! We do have some tables in addition to our booths in the diner which are easily handicap accessible. Admissions

Adult Admission $ 14.00

Children 6 years - 17 years: $ 8.00

Children 5 years & under: FREE

Seniors 60+, Veterans and Active Military, & First Responders (Fire, Police, EMS/Hospital): $ 2.00 Off On Regular Adult Admission.**

Children of Veterans, Active Military or First Responders (Fire, Police, EMS/Hospital): $ 1.00 Off on Admission.**

The Liberty Aviation Museum is proud to participate in the Museums for All program. When you show your SNAP/EBT or WIC card and picture ID, general admission tickets are only $3/person for up to four people in your party. Offer valid in person only.

***Your admission fee includes: Admission to both museum hangars, displays & galleries, boathouse, and temporary exhibits.
An extra charge may apply to special events and exhibits and if so, will be noted prior to entry to the museum.
Visiting aircraft on the museum ramp is free to view from behind designated areas or to view up close when escorted by a crew member. Airplane rides are not included in the price of admission but the sights and sounds are worth the price of admission to visit alone!***

Safety Rules

We want to ensure that your visit is a safe and enjoyable one. Please be mindful of the following SAFETY RULES.

The Liberty Aviation Museum is a working museum with functional aircraft, vehicles, and other interactive displays. In order to prevent injuries to visitors or damage to our collection, please:

  • No weapons are allowed are allowed on Erie-Ottawa International Airport property, The Liberty Aviation Museum, or in the Tin Goose Diner even if you have a CCW.
  • Do not touch, sit, or stand on any museum aircraft, vehicles, or displays.
  • Keep children under close supervision at all times.
  • Do not step or reach inside cordoned off areas.
  • When aircraft or vehicles are operating or in motion, please stand clear and follow the instructions of museum staff.
  • Be mindful of burn hazards due to hot surfaces such as engines and exhausts on aircraft and vehicles.

PLEASE NOTE: As a working museum, Liberty Aviation Museum aircraft, vehicles, and historical artifacts are continuously undergoing restoration and maintenance, and occasionally attending off-site events. As the museum expands, new items will be added, and visiting aircraft and vehicles may be temporarily on public display.
